Association for Computing Machinery (ACM)

The Association for Computing Machinery (ACM), an international society of computer professionals, has a student chapter at Lehigh University. Student members receive the monthly publication "Communications of the ACM" as well as "ACM Crossroads", may participate in ACM Special Interest Groups and conferences (at reduced rates), and have access to ACM employment aids and the Graduate Assistant Directory in Computer Science. The local student chapter hosts seminars given by ACM-sponsored lecturers, social events in conjunction with the IEEE student chapter, and special meetings focusing on research activities in the Department, employment opportunities, and other topics. To join, fill out an application form for the ACM (found in PA 354); or the national ACM website. For more information, visit the Lehigh ACM website or contact the chapter advisors, Prof. Michael Spear or Prof. Brian Chen.
