As usual, we met at different ethnic/affordable restaurants almost every month, for social purposes and to meet newly-returned PCVs or prospective volunteers. The most interesting one was in October, 2010 at a Panera, that Jonathan from the NPCA in DC organized—there were about 10 new faces: they seemed surprised that we existed, and we were surprised to meet them! We wish that NPCA or Peace Corps could do a better job of helping RPCVs connect in our locale.

Two of our group, Janice and Edwin Kay (Cameroon), are in Ghana for 6 months on a Fulbright, and they have been blogging weekly about their life there. Fran and John Kennedy (Ghana) will be going there in March.

Our calendar sale was again a big success: 99 were sold for a profit of over $539. Because the sales continued into the new year, I could not finish the accounting, and therefore did not start our charitable donations until January 2011, so we ended 2010 with a huge balance (over $945—see attached financial report).
